Hello!
I'm Ralph. You're probably here because you want to know more who I am.
About Me
I'm a young creator residing in Boston, MA, working on a Media Arts Production (BFA) degree. I specialize in editing and producing, but have worn almost every cap one can wear in filmmaking over the course of my life.
I made my first movie when I was in second grade — my parents had gotten a DV camcorder for me, and my friends and I had just seen Star Wars: Episode III. We ran around my house while I waved my camera about, loosely improvising our own Star Wars story. I was hooked from there. I produced a video every time I got the opportunity throughout middle and high school, which eventually landed me a position as my high school theatre company's publicity chief.
During my two-year tenure as the publicity chief, I produced trailers for our plays, designed programs and posters, and generally had fun promoting whatever show we were putting on. The summer after I graduated, a former teacher recruited me to work on a trailer for a new school he was founding (you can read more about that here). However, despite my film work, I decided to pursue a degree in my other passion: computer science.
After a year of attending college for a computer science degree, I realized it wasn't for me. I took a year off and transferred into Emerson College, where I'm currently studying. Since beginning to attend Emerson, I've flourished as a creator. I've worked on films, TV shows, and countless other student projects. I'm hoping to get my foot in the door of the industry and find a place where I'm able to express my creativity as an editor, since editing is my specialty.
